Board President, Jeanne Joiner, with an update on the business of the church: discussions on reopening, bright and shiny new things for when we get back together, and random updates on our buildings and grounds and church finances.
New Video Equipment Has Arrived, Banners are going up on the outside of the building, our Audio Equipment has been upgraded, and tales of dealing with COVID 19 in our midst.
We all face dark times, we all dread dark times. At times we fear and try everything in our power to escape and avoid dark times. But what if, instead, we take a moment to explore the darkness and, since it is apparently a part of life, we begin to look at it as a positive thing and perhaps a necessary thing.
Unity teaches ALL things are lessons God would have us learn in order to live and experience the highest version of ourselves.
Let’s embrace our fear and dare to look honestly and deeply into the power, the beauty and the potentiality of the darkness. You’re not alone in there!
Freedom is Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose …
What’s does freedom and independence mean to you at this time of seemingly self-imprisoned times?
Here’s a couple of thoughts to ponder during this weekend’s celebration of our freedom from tyranny…are we really free? Are we ALL free?
Here’s how the bible defines true freedom. Galatians 5:13-14: You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now God is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of God is…. there is freedom.
And finally from Abraham Lincoln, a true believer in freedom for ALL.
“Our reliance is in the love of liberty which God has planted in our bosoms. Our defense is in the preservation of the spirit which prizes liberty as the heritage of all men, in all lands, everywhere.”
